Finally the controller is installed on the car's underbelly! This is such a huge step towards completion, I can almost taste it. This addition is one of the final steps in getting the batteries hooked up to the motor and allowing the car to drive controllably. This part of the electrical system also houses the two contactors and eventually the shunt to control and sense the state of the car's systems. The contactors are mounted in a waterproof box and the Zilla controller is mounted on spacers above the floor of the aluminum plate it's mounted to. Althought there isn't a waterproof casing around the controller, its spacing above the floor it's mounted too shoudl be enough to keep it try in any situation save for driving through a river, lake, ocean, or some other sufficiently deep body of water. The last step to finishing this up is to swing the plate up into the floor of the car (they're on a hinged pannedl designed to fill the area left by the old gas tank), connect cooling lines, and setup the Zilla interface known as the "hairball."
